People Manager

The HR Manager is a standalone role providing support for the Katowice location within Perform Content reporting into the HR Business Partner for Perform Content. 

This consists of c100 employees split across Software Development (c80) and Finance (c20).


WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?
This role will provide support to the local management teams providing the full range of HR generalist services and implementing the Technology & Finance people plan including developing local actions in conjunction with the management teams as and when appropriate. 

They will need to work closely with the senior manager in the UK and their UK based HR colleagues to deliver the appropriate service.

The successful applicant will be the primary go-to person for any day-to-day HR advice from all leaders within the centre acting as a true partner and be the gateway for managers to access the Centres of Expertise and HR Services team.

HERE’S YOUR ROLE BROKEN DOWN (NOT ALL OF IT, JUST THE MOST IMPORTANT STUFF)
  • Support the recruitment process for the local teams
  • Proactively work with the local and UK team to retain our talent and reduce attrition
  • Lead the talent management process and follow up actions including succession planning and developing actionable Talent Profiles
  • Identify future skills requirements
  • Support the local management teams in the annual People Survey and the follow up workshops and actions
  • Be accountable for the annual salary review (ASR) process supporting the local management team and liaising with the Centre of Expertise and Head of HR
  • Ensure the personal development review (PDR) process runs smoothly locally supporting the managers in implementation and consistency of approach
  • Support the local management team to ensure people have up to date career development plans and clear career pathways
  • Personally managing the recruitment of roles at senior level
  • Provide reliable advice on legal, contractual and HR issues in line with the local terms and conditions of employment
  • Provide personal coaching to the leadership team of the business area
  • Support and coach managers to effectively manage all aspects of employee relations and people issues ensuring a pragmatic business and best practice approach
  • Support the Head of HR as and when required on Technology and companywide initiatives such as Technology Leadership days and Pulse Surveys
  • Provide reliable advice on legal, contractual and HR issues in line with the local terms and conditions of employment
  • Manage the monthly payroll & associated admin process.
 
DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?
  • Must have a broad understanding of different aspects of HR, including a good grasp of Polish employment law and the ability to use information and analysis to create and deliver appropriate strategic people plans
  • Has demonstrable success in influencing business stakeholders at a senior level to adopt appropriate HR strategies that support the business agenda, using a variety of influencing styles
  • Ability to communicate effectively, succinctly and professionally to all levels of people
  • An upbeat and positive attitude
  • Customer driven, collaborative with a hands-on approach and the proven ability of identifying pragmatic business focused solutions to problems whilst recognising risks and implications of suggested actions
  • Confident self-starter able to work independently in a business partnering manner as well as effectively as part of an HR team
  • Enthusiastic about HR and what it can deliver with a successful track record of delivering HR services and business support
  • Strong organisational capability, able to prioritise and delegate to meet deadlines and to manage large volumes of diverse work, delivers on their promises
  • Strong MS Office and IT literacy with the proven ability to create and deliver workshops and presentations.
